A cocker Spaniel will make himself comfortable pretty much anywhere. My boy Guinness is always lying on my lap or up against me on the settee.

I used to have an English Show Springer Spaniel and he loved to lie down with his front legs fully stretched out in front of him and his back legs fully stretched behind him.
He slept like this all the time. As a result, we had to buy him a new bed that was considered quite a large bed for a Springer Spaniel.
Before we got him this newer larger bed, he would often be hanging over the sides of his old bed which made him quite an irregular sleeper.
Buying the bigger correct sized dog bed improved his sleeping patterns massively.
When I say the correct size, what I really mean is as long as the bed isn’t too small then you will be ok.
A very large bed that appears too big for just a Cocker Spaniel will be much more comfortable for him that a bed that’s too small.

I have also seen this particular bed in a few high street pet stores and they were even more expensive.

5. Friends Forever Self Warming Donut Cuddler Dog Bed
I was a bit hesitant to give the Friends Forever Self Warming Donut Cuddler Dog Bed a 4-star rating and put it on the list, let me tell you why.
You see, I have a friend who told me they were going to order a new bed for their Cockerpoo and we discussed certain beds.
When she told me she had gone for the Friends Forever, I was quite shocked.
This product has quite a few bad reviews on Amazon. Now when I say quite a few, I mean over 150 reviews that are classed as ‘critical’ of the product.
When I mentioned the reviews, she’s said the positive reviews far outweighed the negative ones by something silly like 100 to 1.
Plus she said she liked the look of the bed and the price and at the end of the day, it was her choice, her money, and her Cockerpoo.
Anyway, I popped round to her house a few days after she had got the new bed and she was happy with it.
I have to admit, it looked really good and her Cockerpoo clearly liked sleeping in it. He didn’t even stir when I arrived, he was too busy snoring.
Many of the negative and critical reviews complained about the bed being lumpy when it arrived and they struggled to get the lumps out.
My friend never had any such problems with lumps and bumps. I’ve put the lumps down to the way the bed has been packaged and shipped.
My friends came flat in a box. Some people in the reviews said theirs arrived shrink-wrapped.
Another negative on Amazon seemed to be that when people washed the bed in the washing machine, it pretty much fell to bits.
My friend has laundered her dog’s bed 3 times since purchasing it and it still looks exactly the same. I saw it just last week.
Maybe she got lucky, maybe others got lucky…..I will let you make up your own mind.

I think these styles of beds are a great idea, especially if you live in warmer climates but when it comes to the Coolaroo Elevated Dog Bed, there’s one single thing that puts me off it.
The design makes it look like an indoor trampoline for a toddler.
I know that if I had one of these when my kids were a little younger, they would definitely have been jumping all over it.
Maybe you don’t have young children so that wouldn’t put you off the design.
I know my Cocker Spaniel would absolutely love this thing as he has a tendency to make himself comfortable absolutely anywhere.
He was always climbing inside the kid’s baby rocker/bouncer chair and he absolutely loved the portable car seats we had.
Anyway, back to this dog bed. The simplistic design of this bed is to allow airflow and keep your dog nice and cool.
This is a great idea but if you live somewhere where it generally cold like I do then there’s more of a need for a bed to keep your Cocker Spaniel warm.
If you live in California or say, Spain or some other hot European country then this would be an ideal bed for your pup.
If you live in the United Kingdom, go for any other bed on this list but this one.
